Montague Fire's UTV Upgrade: a New Skid Unit!

Montague Fire's UTV looks a little different these days, thanks to an upgrade funded by Enbridge Gas Inc.'s Fueling Futures grant! 

The Township received $10,000.00 to purchase a skid unit that will allow our firefighters more flexibility when it comes to wildland, forest or brush fires in Montague. The UTV and new skid unit are able to respond to smaller fires before they have the chance to escalate into something larger, and have high-pressure nozzles for direct fire suppression, as well as a foam system for fuel-based fires.

Chief Greer, along with Captain Barber & Captain Haynes, were happy to show off the unit to Enbridge's Community Engagement Advisor, Anik, on this sunny Monday afternoon.
