FRIENDLY REMINDER:
Waste on public or private property that is intentionally abandoned is considered illegal dumping. Our Public Works crew recently had to take time away from road maintenance operations to pickup waste which was illegally dumped on a Township roadway. Illegally disposed of waste costs all tax payers money, and uses up multiple public works resources.
If you witness any roadside dumping, please record and provide the following information to the Township:
- licence plate number;
- make and colour of vehicle;
- description of people;
- location; and
- date / time.
All residents and businesses are responsible for properly disposing of waste. Garbage tags are available at the township office, located at 6547 Roger Stevens Drive. Taxpayers are allocated 90 tags per year, and, effective 2023, you will only have to tag your bags if more than two (2) are placed at the curb for pickup. Alternatively, you may bring your waste directly to Glenview Iron and Metal for a fee.
