Council of the Township of Montague invites you to attend a public open house and share your thoughts on how we can encourage affordable housing options in our community.
Recent changes to the Ontario Planning Act require municipalities to create Official Plan and Zoning By-law policies allowing accessory apartments within a house and in a detached building. Council will be considering adopting the appropriate planning policies in the future and is looking for feedback on creating made-in-Montague zoning policies that address and regulate:
- Accessory apartments and "tiny homes"
- Promoting housing options and affordable housing in the right places in the community.
This is an opportunity to share your ideas and provide staff and Council feedback.All are welcome to attend an interactive open house on Thursday February 27, 2020 at 6:00PM at the Montague Township office at 6547 Roger Stevens Drive.
